Last week, we welcomed Dr. Richard Harknett, Professor and Director of the School of Public and International Affairs and Chair of the Center for Cyber Strategy and Policy at the University of Cincinnati, into the office to talk to clients about the war in Ukraine. I learned more from Dr. Harknett in an hour than I’ve learned through reading dozens of articles and following this situation in the news over the last couple of months. He’s a true expert and I’m grateful for him sharing his expertise.

After Dr. Harknett’s presentation, I spent some time reviewing the impact of the war on our clients’ portfolios and added some color to the prominent (but I think misconceived) narrative surrounding the US dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency.
